The word “ecology” comes from a Greek word, meaning “household”. The more deeply we connect with our humanity, the more deeply we recognize our planet as a collective household, our true home. This is our sanctuary. We can save it by sharing our knowledge, because our knowledge as a whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
In a synergistic system, whole sources of food and medicine are harvested in ways that sustain the environment they grow in. Their distribution sustains the people who have developed the knowledge of their powers over many centuries. And the people who consume these foods and medicines are brought back into balance by their holistic and rejuvenating properties.
